Details | On certain vehicles, one of the two powertrain control modules may intermittently not function as specified on start up. This may allow the twelve cylinder engine to run on one bank of six cylinders only. This condition will cause a lack of engine power and if the engine continues to run on one bank, the exhaust catalyst can overheat on the non-functioning cylinder bank, causing a potential heat damage hazard. Correction: The two powertrain control modules will be replaced. |
