| Details | Certain vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of CMVSS 115 - Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). Specifically, for vehicles under 4,536 kg, Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR), the standard requires the 4th position of the VIN to be an alphabetic character. The affected vehicles have a numeric character instead. Correction: Since this does not pose any safety risk, no corrective action is required. |
