| Details | On certain vehicles originally sold in or currently operated in areas of heavy road salt usage during winter months (Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland & Labrador), the driver’s door module could short circuit and fail. An electrical short could result in a vehicle fire causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will test the driver’s window and door lock switches for proper operation. If the switches function correctly, a protective coating will be applied to the door module. If the switches do not function properly, the door module will be replaced. |
