Details | On certain vehicles, wiring for the Occupant Classification System (OCS) may be damaged when sliding passenger front seat forwards and backwards to adjust the seating position. If this occurs, the airbag light could illuminate and certain front passenger airbags could be deactivated. Wiring damage could also cause the OCS to incorrectly judge occupant type, causing various passenger airbags and seat belt tensioners to be improperly activated during a crash. In the event of a crash, these issues could result in an increased risk of injury and/or damage to property. |
