Details

On certain vehicles, the centre shell of the brake booster may corrode.

A corroded centre shell could allow water to get inside the brake booster, which in a cold climate may freeze.

This could result in inadequate braking, increasing stopping distances and increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.

Correction: Dealers will inspect and replace any brake booster that has an unacceptable loss of vacuum pressure, all affected vehicles will have a water diverter shield added to the brake booster.
