Details | On certain vehicles, the lap end attachment fastener on the front passenger seat belt may not have been torqued to proper specification. If the tightening torque of the fastener is too low, road vibrations could cause the fastener to loosen further. If this were to occur, the fastener may not properly restrain the front passenger occupant in the event of a crash, which could increase the risk of injury to the seat occupant in a crash. Correction: Dealers will inspect the torque value of the front passenger seat belt lap end attachment, and correct as necessary. |
