Jaguar Steering Recall #2016105

Recall date March 3, 2016
Models affected
  • 2014 Jaguar XF
  • 2015 Jaguar XF
Units affected 100
Details

On certain vehicles equipped with the 2.0L GTDI engine, a bolt retaining a Front End Auxiliary Drive ( FEAD ) idler pulley may fail.

This could cause the hydraulic power assisted steering system to stop functioning which would unexpectedly increase the steering effort force necessary to steer the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.

Correction: Dealers will replace the FEAD pulley assembly with an updated version.
