| Details | On certain vehicles equipped with a 2.4L engine, the electrical (CAN-C) communication connector located on the floor in front of the driver's seat could become corroded. If this were to occur, it could result in a loss of communication to the Transmission Control Module (TCM) potentially resulting in a default shift to neutral, a loss of motive power and a no start condition, which would increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: Dealers will relocate the CAN-C bus communication connector to under the instrument panel. Connectors exhibiting signs of corrosion will be replaced. |
