Details | On certain vehicles, there may be an incorrect crimp on the wire harness terminal of the brake transmission shift interlock (BTSI) solenoid. This could result in a a loss of solenoid function, which could cause the transmission to lock in the Park or Neutral gear without warning when the vehicle comes to a stop. Depending on the driver's reactions and traffic conditions, this could increase the risk of a crash resulting in injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the gear shifter assembly. |
