Details | On certain vehicles, the front wheel bearing retaining rings might not have been seated correctly and may extend from the steering knuckles. This could cause the retaining rings to potentially move out of position, which could result in the wheel bearing moving in its pressed position while the brake disk is held by the brake caliper. In the event of a failure, a wheel could separate, which could affect vehicle control and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will check the retaining ring position and correct their position if necessary. |
