Details

On certain vehicles equipped with the Active Curve System (ACS), the oil in the ACS’s reservoir could start foaming under certain dynamic driving situations in combination with an oil level below minimum.

The oil foam could leak out of the oil reservoir through the vent holes in the sealing cap and spray onto hot surface components of the exhaust system.

This could increase the risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property.

Correction: Dealers will inspect the ACS reservoir for proper oil level and replace the sealing cap with an updated part.
