| Details | On certain vehicles, the power supply cable may not be properly tightened to the starter motor and/or alternator. A poor connection of the power supply cable could result in electrical arcing and potentially increase the risk of fire causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the alternator and starter motor power supply cable nuts and studs for cross threading or damage, and verify the nuts are tightened to specification. |
