Details | Issue: On certain trucks, the transmission shifter may not lock in the park position. This can allow the shifter to be moved without an ignition key and without depressing the brake pedal. This could result in unintended vehicle movement. Safety Risk: Unintended vehicle movement could increase the risk of injury and/or a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail. Owners will be instructed to take their truck to a Ford or Lincoln dealer to check if the shifter is working properly. If a problem is found, the shifter will be repaired. |
