Details | Issue: On certain cars, the occupant classification system (OCS) may not work properly. This could cause the airbag system not to turn off the airbag when an infant or child is seated in the passenger seat. Note: Cars that had repairs completed under Jaguar recall J047 (Transport Canada recall 2014-515) require a second inspection for this recall. Safety Risk: In a crash, an airbag that deploys in front of an infant or child increases the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their car to a dealer to inspect the passenger seat belt assembly. The seat belt wiring will be repaired as required. Note: Children should not be transported in passenger seat until this recall is completed. |
