Volvo Suspension Recall #2019203

Recall date April 25, 2019
Models affected
  • 2019 Volvo S60
Units affected 909
Details

Issue: The locking nuts on the rear suspension toe links may not have been properly tightened during assembly.

This could cause a toe link to detach, which would cause a sudden change in vehicle handling.

It could also cause the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system to turn off.

Safety Risk: A sudden change in vehicle handling could increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions: Volvo will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to inspect the rear suspension toe link flange lock nuts.

If a nut is found loose, both the bolt and nut will be replaced.
