Details | Issue: On certain pre-launch demonstration vehicles, due to a faulty seal, water could enter the high-voltage (HV) battery through the HV battery charging socket. If moisture enters the HV battery, it could cause a short circuit. Note: This condition would cause a warning and the message "Electrical system: fault" to display in the instrument cluster. Safety Risk: An electrical short circuit could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: None of the affected vehicles were sold to retail customers. All vehicles will be inspected by the company to verify if there is any moisture in the HV system. If no moisture is found, a better seal will be installed. If moisture is found, other components of the HV system will also be replaced. |
