Details

Issue: On certain vehicles equipped with the Driver Assistance Package, a software problem may cause the Active Brake Assist feature not to work properly.

This could affect the feature’s ability to help reduce or avoid a crash.

While the system will still provide audible and visual warnings, the autonomous braking might not occur.

Safety Risk: If the brake assist system does not function properly, there could be an increased risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to update the radar sensor control unit software.
