Details | Issue: On certain vehicles, the middle-rear seat belt may not be properly attached to the vehicle body. As a result the seat belt could detach immediately when used, making the middle seating position unavailable. In the unlikely chance that a person did not notice the seat belt was loose, it may come loose while driving or in a crash. Safety Risk: A seat belt that is not properly attached could create an increased risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to inspect the middle-rear seat belt. If the seat belt is not properly attached, it will be reinstalled correctly. |
