| Details | Issue: On certain cars, the wheel lug nuts were not properly tightened during assembly. This could cause the nuts to loosen or fall off, and could result in a wheel separating from the car. Note: For the Ioniq model, this recall only involves the Ioniq PHEV (Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle) version. Safety Risk: A wheel separation could increase the risk of a crash. A wheel that detaches from a vehicle could create a hazard for other drivers and nearby people. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their car to a dealer to ensure the front and rear wheel nuts are properly tightened. |
