| Details | Issue: On one van, the wedge-type stops (abutting wedges) may not be properly mounted to the b-pillars. As a result, in a severe frontal crash, the front doors could be compressed into the b-pillars. This could make the doors difficult to open. Safety Risk: If it is difficult to exit or access the vehicle after a collision, there could be an increased risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify the owner by mail and instruct them to take the vehicle to a dealer to inspect the wedge-type stops and correct the positioning, if necessary. |
