| Details | Issue: On certain vehicles built with a 3.7-L engine, the positive battery cable may rub against the transmission shifter cable bracket. This could cause a short circuit to occur. Safety Risk: An electrical short circuit could create a fire risk. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a Ford or Lincoln dealer to install a wire channel shield and protective sleeve on the battery cable. |
