Details | Issue: On certain vehicles, if the hazard lights are switched on while the ignition is off, the lights on some interior switches may not work. When the ignition and lights are turned on, the lights on the switches may stay off. Canadian regulations require certain switches to light up when the ignition is on and the lights are switched on. Note: If the hazard lights are switched off, then the ignition is cycled to off – and back on again – the switch lights should work properly. Safety Risk: While there is a low risk to safety, lighting of important switches is required by Canadian regulations. Corrective Actions: Mercedes-Benz will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update the instrument cluster software. |
