Details | Issue: On certain trucks, the bolts used to attach the front and/or rear brake calipers could break under load. If this happens, the brake caliper could detach. As a result, brake performance could be reduced, and/or the caliper could interfere with wheel rotation. Safety Risk: Reduced brake performance can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: General Motors will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to replace the brake caliper bolts. |
