Details | Issue: On certain 2500 and 3500 series trucks, over time, the hood latch could fail. If this happens, the hood may open suddenly while driving. Note: This recall is for trucks that may have been serviced with a replacement hood assembly containing the same defect as that in Transport Canada recall no. 2020-097. Safety Risk: If the hood opens while driving, it could block the driver's view and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: General Motors will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the hood assembly. For hoods sold as replacement parts, dealers will contact the customers directly with instructions for hood replacement. |
