| Details | Issue: This recall is for Honda Genuine Accessory tri-fold tonneau covers that were sold as an accessory by Honda dealers. There may be a problem with the bed-cover that could cause it to come loose while driving and detach from the truck. Safety Risk: A bed-cover cover that separates from a moving truck could create a hazard for other drivers and nearby people. Corrective Actions: Honda will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer for an inspection. If necessary, the dealer will install a tether between the center and rear panels of the tonneau cover to prevent them from separating. The dealer will also provide you with an updated accessory owner's manual and apply warning labels that remind you to properly secure the tonneau cover before driving. Note: Until the recall repairs are completed, you can prevent the tonneau cover from coming loose by removing and storing it. |
