| Details | Issue: Certain vehicles may not display the correct warning indicator when the brakes are worn out. As a result, the brake wear indicator lamp ("BRAKE WEAR") may display instead of a symbol. Note: Worn out brakes will also cause a warning message to display in the message centre. Safety Risk: While there is a low risk to safety, Canadian regulations require warnings to use common symbols, instead of words, to avoid driver confusion. Corrective Actions: Porsche will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to reprogram the instrument cluster. |
