Recall date April 16, 2021
Models affected
  • 2021 Porsche Macan
Units affected 5
Details

Issue: On a small number of vehicles, the bolts that attach the shock absorbers to the front and rear axles may not be properly tightened.

As a result, a shock absorber could detach and cause a sudden loss of vehicle stability.

Additionally, this could cause damage to the brake system.

Safety Risk: Reduced vehicle stability and damage to the brake system could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions: None of the affected vehicles have been sold to retail customers.

Porsche will instruct dealers to inspect and tighten the shock absorber bolts on the front and rear axles, before each vehicle is sold.
