| Details | Issue: Certain vehicles may have damaged relay(s) in the engine compartment fuse box. As a result, the horn and/or engine starter could suddenly turn on and run continuously. A horn or starter that runs continuously could overheat. Safety Risk: Parts that overheat can create a fire risk. Corrective Actions: Volkswagen will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the date codes of the relays in the engine compartment fuse panel, and replace them as necessary. |
