| Details | Issue: On certain vehicles, the left-front lower control arm was not welded properly. As a result, it could partially separate from the crossmember. If this happens while driving, the tire could contact the wheel well and cause a loss of vehicle control. Note: The affected control arms are stamped with lot number 12171. Safety Risk: A loss of vehicle control could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Subaru will notify owners by mail. In addition, a Subaru dealer will contact you by telephone and advise you not to drive your vehicle, and arrange for towing to a dealership. The dealer will inspect the left-front lower control arm and replace it, as necessary. |
