| Details | Issue: On one vehicle, a damaged roof may have been repaired with an incorrect part. As a result, the vehicle may not perform as designed in a severe crash. In particular, the roof could deform more than normal and the restraint system (head curtain airbag) may not work properly. Safety Risk: An incorrect roof repair could lead to an increased risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: Volkswagen will notify the owner by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to replace the roof reinforcement. |
