| Details | Issue: On a small number of vehicles, the front wheel bearing bolts may not have been tightened properly. Over time, the bolts could loosen and create an unusual noise while driving. This problem could also affect the driver's control of the vehicle. Safety Risk: A loose wheel bearing could lead to a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Volkswagen will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the front wheel bearing bolts. Any bolts that were not tightened properly will be replaced. |
