| Details | Issue: On certain vehicles, the transmission parking pawl may not fully engage when you shift to park. If this happens, and the parking brake isn't used, the vehicle could roll away. Safety Risk: A parked vehicle that moves suddenly could create the risk of an injury or a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the powertrain control module (PCM) calibration software. The dealer will also inspect and, if necessary, replace the transmission or parts inside the transmission. To reduce the safety risk, FCA Canada recommends that you should always use the parking brake when you park. |
