| Details | Issue: On certain vehicles, a problem with the steering control module could cause a turn signal not to turn off or to flash briefly in the opposite direction after making a turn or changing lanes. This problem could also cause the high beams to turn on when a turn signal is activated, or a turn signal to turn on when the high beams are turned on. Safety Risk: Turn signals that stay on or flash in the opposite direction after making a turn or changing lanes could create confusion for others. High beams that turn on when a turn signal is activated could cause reduced visibility and/or glare for oncoming drivers. These issues could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and advise you to bring your vehicle to a dealer to update the steering control module software. The dealer will also inspect and, if necessary, replace the module. |
