| Details | Issue: On certain vehicles, there could be a problem with the driver and/or front passenger seatbelt pretensioner(s). As a result, the airbag warning light could turn on, and the seatbelt pretensioners could deploy without a crash. Safety Risk: Seat belt pretensioners that do not work properly could create an increased risk of injury. Additionally, seat belt pretensioners that deploy without a crash could startle the driver and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the driver and/or front passenger seatbelt retractor(s). Additionally, the dealer will install a heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) drain tube if necessary. |
