Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the windshield defrost system not to work properly.

As a result, the vehicles don't meet the requirements of Canadian regulations.

Note: This recall only affects plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models.

Safety Risk: A windshield defroster that doesn't work may cause reduced visibility and increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the hybrid control processor (HCP) software.
