| Details | Issue: On a small number of vehicles, the wiring harness for the rearview camera and the high-mounted stop lamp may not have been installed properly during production. As a result, the wiring could become damaged and short circuit. If this happens, the rearview camera image may not display and/or the high-mounted stop lamp may not work. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. A stop lamp that doesn't work may cause others not to recognize when the vehicle is braking. Both issues could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: An FCA dealer has already repaired the affected vehicles by replacing the wiring harness and/or the spare tire carrier assembly. |
