| Details | Issue: On certain vehicles, the brake lamps may flash during certain braking events when the antilock braking system (ABS) is activated. Canadian regulations require the brake lamps to stay on constantly while braking. Safety Risk: Brake lamps that don't work properly could create confusion and cause others not to recognize when a vehicle is braking. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: General Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the body control module software. |
