| Details | Issue: On a small number of vehicles, the bolts for the transmission crossmember may be missing or may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the transmission could move and cause a sudden loss of power to the wheels. Safety Risk: A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the transmission crossmember for any loose or missing bolts. The dealer will replace the bolts or the crossmember, as necessary. |
