| Details | Issue: On certain vehicles, the recall repairs completed by a Ford dealer during recall 20S60 (Transport Canada recall no. 2020-486) may not have been done correctly. As a result, a second repair is required. On certain vehicles equipped with a 2.5 L engine, there may be a problem with the programming of the powertrain control module. As a result, the engine could overheat. Safety Risk: An engine that overheats and causes engine damage could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the powertrain control module software. |
