| Details | Issue: On a small number of vehicles, the recall repairs completed by a Ford dealer during recall 20S20 (Transport Canada recall no. 2020-202) may not have been done correctly. As a result, a second repair is required. On certain vehicles, the pre-collision assist system was not programmed correctly. As a result, the forward collision warning, dynamic brake support, and automatic emergency braking features will not work. Note: This recall only affects vehicles with Ford Co-Pilot360, not those with the optional Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist technology. Safety Risk: If the pre-collision assist system doesn't work properly, it may not detect a frontal crash or reduce its severity. This could create an increased risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the vehicle software. |
