Riding on the same platform that underpins the rest of the Golf family, the Sportwagon earns both halves of that name thanks to a rigid body and cargo room for days.

Add in the diesel engine found under the hood of the Sportwagon Graeme drove, and there's plenty of room in the Golf family for this variant.
