Review: 2016 Honda Pilot (06:24)

Published on August 15, 2015 in Video Reviews by Brad Diamond

It was 13 years ago that Honda launched the Pilot, a vehicle it claimed was inspired by a Pelican case and a knapsack.

The Pilot has been a boxy mainstay on North American roads since then, but the design has never been much to write home about.

Now in its third generation, the Pilot finally has some appealing looks to match its utility, and Honda is hoping that will be enough to push the sport utility into the segment lead.

The Motoring TV team was in Kentucky to take a closer look at the largest of Honda's sport utility lineup, and how it will fare against the competition.

This segment originally appeared on Episode 26 of Motoring 2015.
