Review: 2016 Porsche Boxster Spyder (01:38)

Published on November 28, 2016 in Video Reviews by Graeme Fletcher

Porsche is no stranger to spyders, with the 718 racer springing immediately to mind.

"This all-new Boxster Spyder is that car's spiritual successor," says Graeme Fletcher. "It may not have the 718's pedigree yet, but it sure is a beaut."

The 2016 version isn't Porsche's first kick at the Boxster Spyder can, with the automaker releasing a 320-horsepower version back in 2009.

Well consider the ante officially upped with the latest version, with the new Boxster Spyder the most powerful Boxster yet, making 375 horsepower.

And with 309 lb.-ft. of torque and a six-speed manual gearbox to go with it, the tiny two-seater is a blast to drive.
