Throwback Thursday: 1997 Chevrolet Malibu (03:55)

With Chevrolet launching a redesigned Malibu for the 2016 model year—more on that on an upcoming episode of Motoring 2016—the team at Motoring TV got to thinking about the recent generations of the midsize sedan.

The Malibu name was resurrected in 1997 after a 14-year hiatus, with the "new" version proving popular right from the get-go.
