Test Drive: 2016 Kia Optima (04:44)

Published on February 2, 2016 in Video Reviews by Graeme Fletcher

"Since landing in Canada," Graeme Fletcher says, "there have been no fewer than three generations of the Kia Optima."

Meet the fourth.

While the design of the 2016 Kia Optima is a smooth transition from the last version, the overhaul is more than just skin-deep.

The sedan's body is now made of 50 per cent ultra high-strength steel, up front 20 per cent, helping torsional rigidity jump 50 per cent, while three engine choices keep the 2016 Optima at the front of the sedan pack.

Graeme digs into all the details on this edition of Test Drive.

This segment originally appeared on Episode 11 of Motoring 2016.
