Getting to know GM Canada president Steve Carlisle (06:32)

It's not often that a Canadian automotive executive works their way up the ranks from the shop floor to the biggest office at corporate headquarters.

It's even more rare that a Canadian automotive executive in that position is Canadian.

Meet Steve Carlisle, a Woodstock, Ont., native who worked his way around the world and up the corporate ladder before landing the job as president and managing director of General Motors of Canada.

Motoring TV had a chance to sit down with the people that know Steve Carlisle the best, to gain some insight into what he means to GM Canada and the Canadian auto industry.
