Throwback Thursday: Halton Police Children's Safety Village (05:06)
You're never too old to learn, as the saying goes.
Then again, you're never too young, either—particularly when it comes to road safety.
As Jim Kenzie opined in a recent episode, when it comes to driving, young people should get used to the fact "you're going to always have to be learning."
Which reminded us of a time back in 1990, when Motoring TV visited the Halton Regional Police Service Children's Safety Village in Oakville, Ont.
A miniature town with buildings, roads and traffic signals, the site hosts about 10,000 children a year as they learn the basics of road safety.
This segment originally appeared on Episode 8 of Motoring 1990.
