Throwback Thursday: Amber vs Red Rear Turn Signals (02:00)

Vehicles today are safer than ever before with passive and active safety features.

However, a long time pet peeve with Motoring TV is why amber rear turn signals are not mandatory.

One study by the NHTSA in 2008, said that amber (yellow) rear turn signals are up to 28% more effective in avoiding car crashes than red ones.

When was the last time you saw an emergency vehicle that did not have amber turn signals?
