2013 Shelby GT500 Super Snake: Finally ready for the Detroit Auto Show

We are not talking about Ford here, rather Shelby American about to unveil a more potent version of its GT 500 Coupe called the Super Snake.

Last year at the Detroit International Auto Show, Shelby American unveiled the Super Snake version of the GT500 with a 750 horsepower 5.8 litre V8.

This year, thanks to supercharging, the company presents the 2013 GT500 Super Snake with 100 horsepower more. The latter evolved from the 662 horsepower Shelby GT500.

It is characterized by:

Developed in collaboration with Ford Racing, the GT500 Super Snake carries the distinction of being the most powerful ever offered.

Production of the Super Snake stops at 500 examples available in both Coupe and Cabriolet versions.

The Super Snake costs an extra 28 995 $ above the 39 995 $ GT500 base price.
