Nissan Will Soon Have Five EVs in its Lineup
Nissan is planning to expand its lineup of electric vehicles to five in the near future, according to a report from Automotive News Europe.
Currently only the Nissan Leaf is on the market. Nissan has previously indicated a desire to bring a luxury EV based on the Infiniti Emerg-e concept as well as an EV version of the NV200 cargo van. That leaves three as-yet-unknown models.

"We haven't announced what models they will be, but we have plans for five," said Carla Bailo, senior vice president for r&d at Nissan Americas. "The others will come in due time."
Nissan is waiting on an emerging technology called inductive charging to be ready before at least some of the models are released. The technology allows a vehicle to park on a charging mat and recharge wirelessly.
"Once that technology is ready, we will use it across our brands," Bailo said.
